Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. is seeking a friendly Personal Assistant to support a 14-year-old girl with learning disabilities and autism in Leeds (LS17). The role covers after-school and school holiday activities, including crafts, visits to museums, and outdoor activities, with a structured approach to help develop confidence and skills.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, able to plan engaging activities, and communicate clearly. A DBS check is required; driving license and access to a car are desirable.

Qualifications

• Understanding of working with people with learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum condition.
• Ability to plan and structure a schedule of fun activities.
• Reliability and ability to commute to family home in LS17.
• Willingness to work late afternoon to early evening on weekdays; hours may vary in school holidays.
• A DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Support after school and school holiday activities (crafts, museums, outdoor activities).
• Support with developing learning skills (reading and spelling).
• Support with building confidence and self-esteem through demonstrations and positive encouragement.
