Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 15-year-old boy in Leeds on a part-time basis. The role focuses on enabling social and leisure activities, safety supervision, and fostering independence through community engagement.

The ideal candidate will have experience with autism or special needs, strong communication and listening skills, and a calm, patient approach. Driving license and access to a vehicle are preferred for outings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supervision and support at home and on outings.
• Provide after school support as needed.
• Encourage participation in hobbies and interests and provide companionship.
• Assist with transitions and changes to routine.
• Identify triggers and respond appropriately in emergencies.
• Assist with personal care tasks as needed.
• Develop social skills through interactive activities.
• Accompany to appointments and outings (e.g. cinema).
• Communicate progress and concerns with parents.
