Job summary

Oakfields Preparatory School, part of Blenheim Schools, is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Breakfast & After School Club Assistant to join our friendly team at Oakfields Prep in Upminster.

You will help deliver wraparound care, supervise pupils, and support a range of activities after the school day, fostering a safe, welcoming environment where children can relax, have fun and build confidence.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for working with children.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and reliability, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A calm, positive and professional approach in a busy environment.
• Ability to encourage participation, independence and positive behaviour.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child wellbeing.
• Experience in childcare or school setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and supervising pupils at the end of the school day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play an important role in pupils' daily school experience, providing a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children can relax, have fun, build friendships and develop confidence after the school day.

As an After School Club Assistant, you'll help deliver high-quality wraparound care, ensuring every child feels safe, supported and encouraged to take part in a range of exciting activities.

Working alongside a dedicated team, you'll help create positive experiences that support children's wellbeing, independence and social development while maintaining the highest standards of care and safeguarding.
