Job summary

Active Care Group in Verwood is seeking a Male Children’s Support Worker to support a young client with complex health needs in their family home after school. The role is part-time, consisting of 2 x 3-hour shifts weekly, with hours extended during school holidays and offered on a zero-hours contract. Full specialist training is provided.

You will join a supportive team with ongoing supervision from a Care Manager and access to the Active Learning Hub for development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Male-only role due to genuine occupational requirements (exemption from Equality Act).
• Part-time position: 2 x 3-hour after-school shifts; hours increase during school holidays.
• Full specialist training will be provided and you’ll support a young client with complex health needs in their family home.

Responsibilities

• Support one young client with complex needs in their family home.
• Carry out after-school care during two 3-hour shifts per week.
• Contribute to a consistent, trusted care team through regular shifts.
