Serco Limited in Solihull is seeking an AFRS Vetting Specialist to join the hybrid team, initially office based. You will handle vetting, pre-employment screening and related security administration, with responsibility for complex cases and escalation management.

You will coach Vetting Administrators, perform QA, and deputise for the Team Manager when needed, handling sensitive information with the highest level of care and confidentiality.

Qualifikationen

• Substantial practical experience of vetting, pre-employment screening, security administration or a closely related regulated service.
• Advanced knowledge of BPSS and UKSV processes; identity, criminal history, employment history and Right to Work verification.
• Ability to interpret procedures, assess evidence, resolve complex cases and make informed recommendations within defined authority.
• Experience of quality checking, audit activity or assurance controls; identify root causes and provide corrective feedback.
• Effective coaching, training and facilitation skills; explain complex requirements clearly.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills; proficient in Excel and producing operational MI.

Aufgaben

• Act as the first point of escalation for complex, sensitive or non-standard vetting cases.
• Carry out quality assurance, audit activity and assurance controls.
• Coach and train Vetting Administrators and deputise for the Team Manager during absences.
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
• Coordinate workflow, prioritise competing demands and manage escalations effectively.
• Build positive relationships with candidates, colleagues and stakeholders and report on MI.
