Job summary

Safran Gloucester is seeking a Traceability Lead to head the Traceability function for landing gear and hydraulic overhaul programs. You will manage day-to-day activity, ensure BTB reviews and delivery docs meet customer and regulatory needs, and guide a hands-on team to improve turnaround times.

You will apply strong aviation experience to identify improvement opportunities, lead root-cause analyses, and collaborate with Operations and Customer-facing teams to optimise workflows.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with aviation/MRO experience is essential.
• Proven ability to review BTB documentation and traceability records.
• Experience leading or coordinating a technical/operational team.
• Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to interpret maintenance manuals and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Traceability Operators with day-to-day direction.
• Prioritise BTB reviews to meet programme and customer requirements.
• Be hands-on for complex or urgent BTB reviews to improve turnaround time.
• Drive continuous improvement across the Traceability function.
• Lead initiatives to reduce non-value-added work and improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and standard work for traceability activities.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement more efficient workflows.
