Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United Kingdom seeks a skilled TIG Welder to join our Power & Controls division onsite. You will weld and braze aluminium/steel components, read engineering drawings, set up equipment, and work with the production team to hit project targets while complying with aerospace standards.

This role requires strict attention to detail, adherence to safety, and ongoing training to maintain welding certifications.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds or similar vocational qualification in welding & fabrication or relevant engineering subject (Time served will also be considered).
• Proven TIG Welder with aluminium experience and high tolerance welding.
• Experience to work to certified or highly regulated standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding and brazing on steel products.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute welds accurately.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely.
• Inspect welds to ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with production to meet project targets and deadlines.
• Continue training to welding certification requirements.
