Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wolverhampton is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our Power & Controls division onsite. You will read drawings, set up TIG equipment, perform welding on steel and aluminium, and inspect welds against aerospace standards. Expect collaboration with production teams to hit project targets and ongoing training to maintain certification.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds or similar welding & fabrication qualification or relevant engineering subject.
• Welding experience with TIG, especially on aluminium.
• Familiar with welding to high tolerance and aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding and brazing on steel products.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute welds accurately.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely.
• Inspect welds to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with production to meet targets and deadlines.
• Pursue ongoing training to meet welding certification requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment.
