Collins Aerospace in the United Kingdom seeks a skilled TIG Welder to join our Power & Controls Division. You will weld aluminium parts, read engineering drawings, and operate TIG equipment safely to meet stringent aerospace standards.

You will collaborate with production to hit targets, participate in ongoing training, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in a role that may involve export-controlled information and security checks. On-site work is required with shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds in welding & fabrication or equivalent.
• Proven TIG welding experience on aluminium.
• Experience with thin gauge sheet metal welding 0.5–3.5 mm.
• Experience working to high tolerance.
• Experience in regulated standards is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute welds accurately.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely to ensure optimum performance.
• Conduct weld inspections to meet aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with production to meet project targets and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area meeting safety standards.
