Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Coventry is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a precision aerospace-focused manufacturing team. The role requires welding to engineering drawings with stringent quality standards, in a permanent, day-shift position.

The successful candidate will have strong TIG skills, be adept at interpreting drawings, and demonstrate high accuracy and safety in a manufacturing setting. This is a permanent opportunity within a dedicated aerospace engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience welding with TIG on engineered components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail in a precision environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out TIG welding on components per drawings and specs.
• Produce accurate, consistent, high-quality welds.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding instructions.
• Prepare materials and components for welding.
• Select appropriate welding techniques and settings.
• Inspect welds to meet quality standards and report defects.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work area.
• Follow welding procedures and manufacturing instructions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets.
