Job summary

Hyde Details (Fabrications and Welding) Ltd, a UK-based aerospace manufacturer, seeks an experienced Aerospace Coppersmith to join its precision sheet metal team. You will manufacture and assemble ducting, pipework and structural fabrications strictly to aerospace quality standards.

You will read complex drawings, apply tight tolerances, and use hand tools, rollers and forming equipment, contributing to continuous improvement while maintaining a safe, well-organised 5S workplace, with aluminium,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Coppersmith / Sheet Metal Worker in aerospace or high-spec manufacturing.
• Experience handling aerospace-grade materials such as aluminium, stainless steel or titanium.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of tolerances, form control and dimensional accuracy.
• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 (NADCAP awareness beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, form, and assemble aerospace sheet metal components including ducting, pipework and fabrications.
• Work with aluminium, stainless steel and titanium materials.
• Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carry out marking out, cutting, forming and finishing operations.
• Use hand tools, press tools, rollers and forming equipment to produce high-precision parts.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and customer specs.
• Conduct in-process inspection and self-verification of work.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and production teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment (5S).
• Contribute to continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
