Job summary

Actio Recruitment is seeking a Quality Manager for an aerospace manufacturing site in Rochford, Essex. You will lead a small inspection team, oversee the quality management system in line with AS9100/ISO 9100, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires aerospace manufacturing experience, ability to approve FAIRs, auditing qualifications, and strong leadership. Four-day week, pension, health plan, and life assurance are on offer.

Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing experience essential.
• Experience completing and approving FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports).
• Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9100 and EASA standards.
• Auditing qualification and/or external auditing experience.
• Leadership or line management experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Quality Management System in line with AS9100/ISO 9100 requirements.
• Lead and develop the Quality Inspection team.
• Create, review and approve FAIRs and LAIRs using VisualFAIR software.
• Plan and conduct internal and external quality audits.
• Act as quality representative for customers and certification bodies.
• Oversee calibration, testing and inspection activities in manufacturing.
• Drive continuous improvement across the quality function.
