A leading engineering company in South Staffordshire is looking for a skilled Machine Shop Inspector for a fixed-term contract of 12 months. You will conduct manual inspections, provide technical support, and work with advanced inspection tools. The ideal candidate holds an HNC/HND in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, has strong analytical skills, and excels in collaborative environments. Qualifications

  • HNC/HND in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent required.
  • Must have strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Aerospace experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and lead activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct manual inspections using hand tools and vision systems.
  • Provide technical support for new product introductions.
  • Write non-conformance reports and perform inspections.
  • Conduct AS9102 First Article Inspections.

Skills

Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
Extensive knowledge of manual inspection methods and equipment
Excellent communication skills
Analytical abilities for Root Cause and Corrective Action

Education
