Magellan Aerospace, Llay Wrexham, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior CI Engineer. You will lead cross-functional improvement projects delivering measurable safety, quality, cost and delivery improvements and provide coaching on Lean and Six Sigma.

This role requires mentoring CI Engineers and working with process owners and Finance to sustain improvements. Based at Llay, this unionised site, you will drive MOS routines, value-stream mapping and project reviews while elevating capability

Qualifications

• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt as a minimum, with evidence of applying DMAIC to completed improvement projects
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English
• Substantial manufacturing or operational improvement experience, typically four or more years
• Evidence of measurable, sustained improvements and experience validating project benefits with Finance or business owners.
• Practical competence in Lean tools, data analysis, root-cause analysis and control planning
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, facilitating workshops and coaching colleagues
• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills, with clear written, verbal and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead complex cross-functional improvement projects delivering safety, quality, cost and delivery benefits
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to CI Engineers and teams in Lean and Six Sigma methods
• Develop and sustain standard work and embed improvements with Process Owners and Finance
• Lead quality and cost improvement initiatives aligned to aerospace standards and change controls
• Carry out DMAIC, A3, PDCA and Kaizen problem solving; verify root causes and implement actions
• Present project updates, KPI trends and validated benefits to management reviews
• Capture lessons learned and promote adoption of successful improvements
