Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Limited in Llay, Wrexham is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the site QA activities, maintain AS9100 and Nadcap, and manage audits, corrective actions and customer approvals.

You will develop skillsets, communicate across levels, drive KPI reporting, and mentor the QA team; this on-site role offers progression within a global aerospace company, with a benefits package and strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• HNC / HND in engineering or quality required.
• Certified AS EN 9100 or ISO 9001 lead auditor preferable.
• Robust NADCAP knowledge and aviation quality standards.
• 5+ years in a similar aerospace QA leadership role.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AS9100 certification and Nadcap readiness with timely actions.
• Manage customer approvals, audits and findings with corrective actions.
• Act as key QA contact for customers including complaints and escalations.
• Ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are effective.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce non-conformances and waste.
• Develop and report Quality KPIs with stakeholders.
• Oversee daily quality performance management and documentation.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System and procedures.
• Lead, coach and develop the QA team.
