Magellan Aerospace Corporation, based in Llay, Wrexham (LL12 0PB), is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA team and ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes maintaining AS9100, Nadcap accreditations, audit readiness, and effective corrective actions across the business.

You will own quality KPIs, drive continuous improvement, mentor staff, and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver robust processes and documentation.

Qualificações

• Good verbal and written communication
• HNC / HND minimum in an engineering/quality discipline
• Certified AS EN 9100 or ISO 9001 lead auditor
• Robust knowledge of NADCAP regulation

Responsabilidades

• Maintain AS9100 certification and NADCAP accreditations; ensure audit readiness and timely approvals.
• Manage customer approvals, audits and findings; ensure timely responses and closure of issues.
• Act as the primary Quality contact for customers; manage complaints, escapes, defects and corrective actions.
• Ensure effective root cause analysis, corrective actions and process improvements; document actions and verification.
• Lead continuous improvement and structured root cause investigations to reduce non-conformances.
• Own development, monitoring and reporting of Quality KPIs; analyze trends and drive actions.
• Oversee Quality management system development, maintenance and documentation; audits and compliance.
• Lead, coach, mentor and develop the quality assurance team; promote good practice.
• Report performance to management and customers; ensure team meets objectives.
