Job summary

Magellan Aerospace, Llay Wrexham invites applications for a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA team on a busy aerospace site. You will ensure processes deliver products meeting customer, regulatory, and Magellan requirements while maintaining the effectiveness of the QMS.

You will mentor the quality team, manage audits, customer approvals, and corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement through robust KPI oversight and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• 5 years in a similar QA/quality management role in the aerospace sector.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100; NADCAP familiarity.
• Experience auditing and managing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AS9100 and Nadcap certifications and audit readiness.
• Manage customer approvals, audits, and findings; ensure timely actions.
• Act as key QA contact for customers; manage complaints and escalations.
• Ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed with verification.
• Lead continuous improvement and reduce non-conformances and scrap.
• Develop, monitor, and report Quality KPIs; review trends and actions.
• Oversee QMS development and documentation control.
• Lead, coach, and develop the QA team.
