Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Project Engineering Lead for an Aerospace client in Luton. You will lead a cross-functional IPT to deliver a complete, compliant solution while balancing performance, cost and schedule.

You will define and structure the WBS, plan activities, establish KPIs, and monitor progress from design through integration, with 80% on-site work in Luton and a 37-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule, and track engineering work packages.
• Experience managing budgets and schedules.
• Strong communication with stakeholders (managers, suppliers, customers).
• Knowledge of engineering lifecycle and change control.
• Willingness to travel within UK and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organise engineering work across teams.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery meeting quality standards.
• Drumbeat the engineering workflow and monitor KPIs.
• Coordinate engineers from different disciplines to deliver a complete solution.
• Ensure compliance with customer, legal and company requirements.
• Provide progress reports and monitor risks and costs.
• Maintain effective communication across the IPT and with the Project Manager and Functional Heads.
• Manage change control and configuration to maximise design reuse.
