Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Sub Contract Manager to support an aerospace client in Luton on a 12-month contract. You will manage sub-contract activities, forecast spend, and source niche suppliers to deliver advanced technologies.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will influence cross-functional stakeholders and ensure compliance across the contract lifecycle. The role requires extensive procurement experience within Defence/Aerospace, strong communication, and the ability to manage complex

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge as commercial/procurement advisor.
• Degree or professional qualification; MCIPS preferred.
• Strong collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Defence/Aerospace procurement is preferred.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and use data to support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own procurement activities within the integrated project team.
• Forecast sub-contract spend and report using local procedures.
• Source niche suppliers to deliver new technologies.
• Manage supplier performance against contractual requirements.
• Draft and prepare complex contract documentation.
• Lead sub-contract management activities and related procurement tasks.
• Translate customer/project requirements into commercial documents.
• Mitigate commercial/contractual risks across the life cycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to flow down terms from contracts.
• Lead Life Cycle Management (LCM) deliverables.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and success factors.
• Manage Export Compliance and third-party rights.
