Morson Edge is recruiting a Subcontract Manager to be based in Luton for an initial 12-month contract, working hybrid. You will oversee procurement activities within a multidisciplinary project team, manage subcontract spend, and scout niche suppliers to deliver emerging technologies for international programmes.

The role requires strong subcontract management, stakeholder engagement, and contract administration across the Defence/Aerospace domain, with security clearance processes in scope and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a commercial/procurement advisor.
• Defence/Aerospace sector knowledge preferred.
• Experience with lifecycle management (LCM) processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for procurement activities within the integrated project team.
• Sub-contract spend forecasting and reporting using local procedures.
• Scouting new suppliers with niche capabilities for technologies.
• Manage supplier performance and contractual requirements.
• Draft and prepare complex contract documentation.
• Lead delivery of sub-contract management activities and related procurement tasks.
• Translate customer/project requirements into commercial documents.
• Understand mitigating risks when entering into agreements.
• Ensure flow down of terms from customer contracts to ensure compliance.
