Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking a Project Engineer (Aerospace) to deliver engineering analyses and in-service assessments, supporting design verification and safety evaluations for client programs.

You will work across sectors, applying FEA with ANSYS/Abaqus, collaborating with teams, managing projects, and engaging with clients to ensure high-quality, timely results in a hybrid working environment in the UK.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering/science; grade 2.1 or above.
  • Experience delivering engineering analysis in engineering/consultancy settings.
  • FEA experience in aerospace, nuclear, energy, oil & gas, or defence sectors.
  • Strong understanding of fatigue, creep and plasticity.
  • Familiarity with ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN or Calculix; ability to extend with user functions.
  • Some programming experience (Python, MATLAB, VBA, C# or C/C++).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; client interaction.
  • Actively pursuing Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out technical projects and analyses with supervision.
  • Participate in technical delivery and client relationship management.
  • Support business development with new and existing clients.
  • Integrate with a positive team culture and core values.
