Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Leicestershire team, focusing on precision machine components and tooling for aerospace applications.

You will produce detailed 3D CAD models using Autodesk Inventor, develop robust designs in line with tolerances and manufacturing constraints, and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to enable production readiness. This permanent role offers Monday to Friday onsite work in Leicestershire.

Qualifications

• Experience designing precision machine components, tooling, or fixtures.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Background in aerospace, precision engineering, or similar manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design precision machine components, tooling, and fixtures for aerospace engineering applications.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop design solutions in line with technical specifications, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements.
• Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical for production.
• Support design modifications, problem-solving, and continuous product improvement.
