Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an Engineering Design Manager in Oxfordshire to lead engineering and product development programmes from concept to production, delivering on time and within budget. Qualifications

• Design Engineer with extensive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven project/programme management experience.
• Experience leading product development from concept to production.
• Experience implementing or managing SolidWorks PDM systems.
• Strong mechanical design knowledge.
• Previous senior leadership in engineering.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness balancing technical, programme, and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and product development programmes from concept through to production
• Manage projects to deliver on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Provide technical leadership to the engineering and design teams
• Support development and implementation of SolidWorks PDM systems and data processes
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams for successful development
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes and product development activities
• Manage project priorities, resources, risks, and milestones
• Provide senior leadership across engineering and contribute to business strategy
