Job summary

Owen Daniels seeks a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer for a Woking-based, onsite role. The ideal candidate will contribute to sheet metal fabrication projects, develop concept models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor, and produce manufacturing drawings for welded fabrication and assembly.

You’ll apply CAD parametric techniques and support cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery. Requires 2 years in mechanical design with an engineering degree or equivalent, and strong Inventor

Qualifications

2 years of experience in mechanical/design engineering with a track record of delivering projects from concept to completion.
Strong knowledge of Inventor or similar CAD software.
Confident producing and reviewing technical drawings and mechanical assemblies.
Experience with fabrication techniques including welding, sheet metal and machined components.

Responsibilities

Ensuring timely delivery of design project stages.
Producing concept models and drawings for customer approval and quotations using Autodesk Inventor.
Creating manufacturing drawings for welded fabrication and manual assembly.
Using CAD parametric functions for adaptable part and assembly designs.
Providing technical support and liaising with teams.
