Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer in Coventry to lead aerospace mechanical design projects, manage risk and schedules, and drive product development from concept to production readiness.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and experience in aerospace, with strong skills in 3D CAD, DFMEA, and manufacturing processes. Permanent position with standard UK hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant engineering experience, ideally within aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, product development, materials and manufacturing.
• Experience managing engineering projects, risks, schedules and deliverables.
• 3D CAD, simulation, DFMEA and design for manufacture experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects and NPI programmes, managing scope, schedules and risks.
• Support the design, development and validation of aerospace mechanical components and heat exchangers.
• Prepare and review engineering documentation, designs and validation plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and production readiness.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and drive improvements.
