Job summary

Evolito Ltd in the UK is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to design, implement and test motor control units for aerospace propulsion. You will develop inverter/converter power and contribute to design reviews and safety cases.

Responsibilities include EMC/thermal modelling, schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection and documentation. A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent is required, with proven power electronics experience and a collaborative, proactive

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in power electronics and aerospace contexts is preferred.
• Experience with EMC, high voltage and safety standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support inverter and converter power development
• Review specifications
• Design reviews
• Support safety case (ARP4754A/DO254) of the system
• Design, develop, debug and validate power electronics for inverter/converter products
• Conduct EMC, power and thermal modelling
• Schematic capture, PCB layout and manufacturing support
• Evaluate component lifetime and derating
• Support EMC testing and documentation
• Document designs, analyses, simulations and reviews
• Develop electronics/hardware capabilities and processes
