Job summary

Evolito Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Power Electronics Test Engineer to validate and verify high‑voltage three‑phase inverters used in electric propulsion systems. You will design test setups, perform dynamic switching, loss, and thermal tests on SiC MOSFETs and inverters, and contribute to aircraft propulsion programs.

The role requires hands‑on testing, sensor calibration support, and collaboration across teams to deliver compliant test reports and support certification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Proven experience in electronics design for aerospace/defence/automotive.
• Experience with SiC MOSFETs and inverter systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop test systems and perform dynamic switching, loss, and thermal characterisations of SiC MOSFETs and three phase inverters.
• Conduct component and equipment level tests for filter components including DC link capacitors and CM inductors.
• Support test and integration of three phase inverters with motors.
• Produce test reports and documentation to support certification activities and regulatory approvals.
• Lead root-cause investigations of failures and define corrective actions, coordinating cross-functional teams.
