Job summary

ESS Employment Ltd is seeking a Plater in Surface Treatments for our client in Stroud, Gloucestershire. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with 39 hours per week, day shift, typically 7:30am to 4pm (Mon–Thu) and 7:30am to 3pm on Friday.

Salary is £12.95–£14 per hour, on-site work. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of direct experience in surface treatment, preferably in an aerospace processing environment, and possess Chemistry qualifications (GCSE or higher).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years direct and relevant experience in surface treatment environments.
• Experience in aerospace processing environments is desirable.
• Qualifications in Chemistry (GCSE and above).

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for surface treatment including masking, media blasting, and waxing.
• Process components following data sheets and process instructions.
• Record processing times and outcomes from surface treatment operations.
• Support Continuous Improvement within the Surface Treatment department and the business.
• Promote a safety-first culture.
