Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a laboratory technician specializing in metallurgy to join our materials lab. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years in a laboratory role with a bias toward metallurgy, plus essential laboratory experience.

Aerospace industry exposure with AS9100, NADCAP, and NDT (FPI & MPI) is highly regarded. Strong metallography qualifications and experience reviewing grain size, crystal structure and defects, along with proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• Ideally Degree qualified.
• A minimum of 2 years experience within a laboratory role is required with a bias of metallurgy knowledge.
• Laboratory experience is essential.
• Experience of working within the Aerospace Industry and AS9100, NADCAP, NDT (FPI & MPI).
• Hold a qualification in metallography and have relevant experience of reviewing and testing range of material grain size, Crystal Structure and defects.
• Computer Literate Microsoft Excel & Word for traceability and audit requirements. Good Communication skills.
