Job summary

TISICS Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Test Technician to join our aerospace-focused team in Farnborough. You will assemble, test and validate components and test samples for space and aerospace markets using our metal matrix composite and fibre technologies.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience of mechanical testing and quality assurance.
• Experience of Aerospace and Space industry environment would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of measurement and test principles and associated equipment.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagnose faults.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly of products for test.
• Generate and maintain assembly test instructions and procedures.
• Testing of products and components and diagnosis of test failures; training on equipment provided.
• For bespoke/test set-ups, work within the project team to establish and run tests and resolve issues.
• Identify corrective action and contribute to problem solving.
• Assess test equipment issues and propose fixes where applicable.
• Attend Non-Conformance/Material Review Board meetings as Test Engineering representative.
• Prepare samples for external testing and coordinate with test houses; curate test data.
