Job summary

Cambridge Aerospace is seeking a Test Technician specialising in instrumentation to support setup and execution of testing across defence and aerospace programmes. You will prepare sensors, instrumentation, data acquisition systems and test equipment to enable safe, accurate and repeatable testing.

You will work with Test Engineers and engineering teams, configuring equipment, monitoring data quality and assisting environmental, vibration, thermal and system-level tests on complex aerospace

Qualifications

• Practical experience with instrumentation, electronics, testing or lab systems.
• Ability to follow wiring diagrams, test instructions and safety requirements.
• Methodical fault-finding with attention to detail when wiring and recording equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, install and verify instrumentation for engineering test activities (thermocouples, accelerometers, strain gauges, sensors).
• Route, terminate, label and check instrumentation cables and wiring with basic electrical checks.
• Configure data acquisition equipment and signal conditioning under guidance of Test Engineers.
• Support environmental, vibration, thermal and system-level tests and monitor data quality.
