Job summary

Gradcracker Limited in the United Kingdom is offering a Mechanical Engineering Intern 13 Month Placement. You will support design, development and manufacturing of life safety and aerospace systems, gaining hands-on experience with advanced mechanical and systems engineering while receiving mentorship.

You will work with experienced engineers, help with design activities, prototyping, CAD modeling and testing, and contribute to real engineering challenges from day one.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience with CAD software and SolidWorks is beneficial.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional project teams to support development of mechanical and systems designs.
• Apply engineering principles across the full product life cycle including requirements capture, systems architecture and design, development and integration and verification.
• Produce detailed drawings and models using CAD software.
• Assist with prototyping, testing and evaluation of prototypes.
• Support engineers in creating and improving designs.
