Zusammenfassung

ALTEN in the United Kingdom, Loughborough, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support aerospace projects from concept through to production. You will design and develop mechanical components using SolidWorks, produce detailed drawings, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery.

The role requires aerospace experience, solid CAD skills, and a proactive problem-solving approach within a fast-paced R&D environment at an on-site, full-time

Qualifikationen

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering / equivalent military experience
• 2–4 years of experience in a mechanical design engineering role
• Experience supporting products through design and development activities

Aufgaben

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Create detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation
• Support product development activities from concept, prototyping, and testing through to production
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
• Participate in design reviews and implement engineering improvements
• Support prototype build, assembly, and validation activities
• Manage design changes and maintain accurate engineering records and documentation
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and deliver project objectives
