ALTEN is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development and delivery of complex aerospace propulsion systems in Derby and Bristol. You will create and update detailed 2D drawings for propulsion components and assemblies, and produce design documentation in line with industry standards.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the product lifecycle, resolve technical issues, and ensure drawing packs meet quality standards while participating in design reviews and

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
• Experience supporting aerospace propulsion or engine-related programmes.
• Knowledge of configuration management and engineering change processes.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle and design release activities.

Responsabilidades

• Create, modify and maintain detailed 2D engineering drawings for aerospace propulsion components and assemblies.
• Produce design documentation in accordance with industry and company standards.
• Support design definition activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work closely with design, manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure drawing packs are accurate, complete and released to required quality standards.
• Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement activities.
• Manage engineering changes and update associated documentation where required.
