Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support an aerospace client in Yeovil on a 6-month contract. The role focuses on the detailed design of complex aerospace systems, including ECS/LSS, with responsibility for drawings, documentation and changes.

The successful candidate will develop concept designs, perform supporting analysis, and ensure designs align with manufacturing methods and cost targets, while working within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• A mechanical engineer with hands-on CAD experience both 2D and 3D.
• Experience with precision components and aerospace manufacturing considered an asset.
• Familiarity with GD&T, configuration control and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawing packs, tolerancing analyses and associated documentation.
• Develop concept designs and progress to detailed design for production.
• Coordinate with production engineering and planning to optimise build friendliness.
