Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
• People management and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence with data and analysis.
• Operational framework and cross-functional processes knowledge.
• Ability to plan and schedule work packages.
• Experience across product lifecycle phases.
• Experience peer reviewing work within a product team.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and designing methods and equipment.
• Organise Manufacturing Maturity Reviews and Governance through Lifecycle Management.
• Provide decision-making information with cost and schedule estimates.
• Resolve complex production issues on the shop floor and escalate as needed.
• Improve efficiency via capacity planning, layout and workflow optimisations.
• Review documentation including risk assessments and COSHH data.
• Ensure quality through validation/verification and standards adherence.
• Contribute to corrective actions (8D) and failure investigations.
• Maintain routings, production plans and electronic work instructions.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best-practice sharing.
