Job summary

Leonardo Helicopters UK offers a five-year Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Degree Apprenticeship (Level 6) in Yeovil. You’ll split time between Yeovil College and Leonardo placements, progressing through Level 4–6 BEng modules while building hands-on experience in rocket-like environments across rotor, structural, and design disciplines.

The program emphasizes EPA portfolio work, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous upskilling in CAD, AM, composites and Cobotics, with a clear pathway

Qualifications

• Age 18+.
• 96 UCAS points or above at A-Level or equivalent, including Mathematics and at least one STEM subject.
• GCSE grade B/5 in Maths, plus 5 GCSEs at A-C inc. Eng Lang & Double Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multiple placements across Leonardo Helicopters UK Engineering department.
• Complete Level 4/5/6 BEng degree units while working in various teams.
• Develop competency in CAD/AM/Composites and Cobotics through upskilling and EPA portfolio preparation.
