Job summary

Leonardo Helicopters UK is offering an Aerospace Engineering Electrical/Avionic Degree Apprentice (Level 6). This five-year apprenticeship combines college and on‑the‑job placements across the Engineering department to build hands-on skills in electrical engineering for helicopters.

Starting with induction at Leonardo and Yeovil College, you will rotate through planning, design, development and test elements, progressing toward a Level 6 BEng and an EPA.

Qualifications

• Age 18+
• 96 UCAS points or above at A-Level or equiv., to include Mathematics plus at least one STEM based subject.
• GCSE grade B/5 in Maths, plus 5 GCSEs at grade A-C inc. Eng Lang & Double Science or equivalent.
• Knowledge/experience of Engineering
• Thirst for continuous improvement
• Eye for detail
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Good IT skills

Responsibilities

• Complete a 5-year degree apprenticeship with multiple placements across Engineering.
• Gain experience in planning, design, development and test elements of electrical engineering.
• Achieve EPA gateway and End Point Assessment.
