Job summary

Leonardo Helicopters UK is offering an Aerospace Engineering Electrical/Avionic Degree Apprentice (Level 6) as a five-year programme starting with an induction at Leonardo and Yeovil College. The apprentice will rotate through Planning, Design, Development and Test in electrical engineering, with EPA portfolio work and progression to Level 6 BEng units.

Year-by-year schedule includes part-time college study, CAD/AM upskilling, and work placements.

Qualifications

• 96 UCAS points or above at A-Level or equivalent, to include Mathematics plus at least one STEM subject.
• GCSE grade B/5 in Maths, plus 5 GCSEs at grade A-C including Eng Lang & Double Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Undertake placements across Engineering departments to support airworthy helicopter fleet.
• Move into final placement area based on business needs and displayed skills.
• Complete induction at Leonardo UK and Yeovil College; progress through Level 4/5/6 BEng units and EPA portfolio.
