Job summary

Leonardo Helicopters UK offers an Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Degree Apprentice (Level 6) with a 5-year scheme. You will experience varied placements across Engineering, with an aim to place you into a final role based on performance and business needs.

The programme includes Yeovil College inductions and ongoing EPA milestones. You will study Level 4–6 BEng units while gaining hands-on experience in multiple departments, including Structural Design, Rotor Design, and Systems Engineering,

Qualifications

• Must have 96 UCAS points or above at A-Level, including Mathematics and at least one STEM subject.
• GCSE grade B/5 in Maths plus five GCSEs at grade A-C including English Lang and Double Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a structured 5-year placement across Leonardo Helicopters UK engineering departments.
• Complete Level 4 to Level 6 BEng degree units while on apprenticeship.
• Engage in EPA portfolio development and Evidence milestones throughout the programme.
• Participate in work placements across Structural Design, Rotor Design, Transmission Design, Materials Laboratory and more.
• Achieve EPA Gateway and undertake the End Point Assessment in final months.
