Héroux-Devtek Inc. is recruiting an ME Programmer in the Nottingham area to drive aerospace process engineering and manufacturing improvements. You will work with engineering, quality and design teams to streamline production and ensure first article validation.

The role emphasizes PFMEA, process control, and data-driven improvements, with opportunities to lead CAPEX and NPI initiatives in a 48,000 sq ft UK facility.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have aerospace manufacturing process knowledge.
• Experience with CNC 3/4/5 axis milling/turning and FMS multipallet is beneficial.
• Understanding of technical data, drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with SAP/ERP and MES systems.
• Strong Root Cause Analysis skills (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
• Ability to manage projects and coordinate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Aerospace manufacturing process engineering leadership.
• Implement manufacturing, programming, and process best practices to standardize operations.
• Optimize processes to reduce cycle times and improve throughput.
• Lead NPI activities: PFMEA, process flow, Control Plans, work instructions, shop-floor readiness.
• Deploy engineering IT solutions to reduce NPI lead times and improve data collection.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Design to reduce defects.
• Work with machinists to validate first article production.
• Maintain dialogue with machinists to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Track project deadlines and milestones; manage CAPEX with Engineering Manager.
