Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Stourport-on-Severn to industrialise processes and introduce new equipment. You will collaborate with production, quality and engineering to deliver compliant, efficient manufacturing systems.

The role focuses on process development, capacity planning and lean initiatives within a highly regulated environment. Aerospace/automotive/FMCG experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in engineering/manufacturing discipline (HND/degree acceptable).
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (aerospace/auto/FMCG).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, drawings and layouts.
• Experience with Lean tools: Six Sigma, Kaizen, VSM, 6S, Kanban.
• Knowledge of APQP methods: PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAPs in ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, source and commission new production equipment and systems.
• Drive projects to reduce cycle times and waste; optimise processes.
• Provide technical support to production and lead root cause analyses.
• Manage engineering changes and ensure change control compliance.
• Support project costing with manufacturing routes and data.
• Prepare CAPEX justification for equipment and improvements.
• Analyse downtime and develop long-term corrective actions.
• Conduct PFMEA and manufacturing readiness activities.
