Job summary

Electus Recruitment is seeking a skilled specialist to own specialised chemical finishing processes in Whitstable, ensuring integrity of mission-critical components in aerospace. You will lead process optimisations and drive quality in a high-technology manufacturing environment.

The role requires a degree in Chemistry or Materials Science with metal finishing, proven industrial chemical handling and electroplating experience, and PFMEA documentation proficiency.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Degree in Chemistry or Materials Science with a focus on metal finishing.
• Proven experience in industrial chemical handling and electroplating.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining PFMEA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise electroplating standards to ensure high-quality finishes and minimal scrap rates.
• Develop and implement PFMEA materials for both New Product Introductions and existing production lines.
• Ensure full site compliance with IPPC permits and COSHH regulations.
• Provide technical support to shop floor teams and update process instructions.
• Oversee wastewater effluent systems and coordinate hazardous waste disposal.
