Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a specialist for a full-time, onsite role in Whitstable to lead process optimisations in chemical finishing for aerospace components.

You will monitor electroplating standards, develop PFMEA, ensure COSHH/IPPC compliance, and support shop floor teams while enjoying flexitime, enhanced maternity pay, Health & Wellbeing suite, onsight restaurant, and quarterly bonus. This role offers stability in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Materials Science focusing on metal finishing.
• Experience in industrial chemical handling and electroplating.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining PFMEA documentation.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise electroplating standards to reduce scrap and maintain high-quality finishes.
• Develop and implement PFMEA materials for New Product Introductions and existing production lines.
• Ensure full site compliance with IPPC permits and COSHH regulations.
• Provide technical support to shop floor teams and update process instructions.
• Oversee wastewater effluent systems and coordinate hazardous waste disposal.
