Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions in Whitstable seeks a specialist to lead chemical finishing processes for mission-critical aerospace components. You will optimise electroplating performance and drive quality standards in a high-technology manufacturing environment, delivering precise results.

The role requires a degree in Chemistry or Materials Science, strong PFMEA experience, and a solid grasp of IPPC and COSHH regulations.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemistry or Materials Science with a focus on metal finishing.
Proven experience in industrial chemical handling and electroplating.
Proficiency in developing and maintaining PFMEA documentation.
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety in hazardous environments.
Experience with continuous improvement methods (5S, RCA).

Responsibilities

Monitor and optimise electroplating standards to ensure high-quality finishes and minimal scrap rates.
Develop and implement PFMEA materials for New Product Introductions and existing production lines.
Ensure full site compliance with IPPC permits and COSHH regulations.
Provide technical support to shop floor teams and update process instructions.
Oversee wastewater effluent systems and coordinate hazardous waste disposal.
