Job summary

Chemring Countermeasures in Salisbury is seeking a Manufacturing Trainer to deliver engaging training to production staff and help create clear work instructions while maintaining high-quality training records.

You will assess and develop employee competence, contribute to inductions, promote health and safety, and coach staff, supporting the L&D strategy to build a competent, flexible onsite workforce.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Trainer Qualification (or prepared to work toward)
• Assessor Qualification (or prepared to work toward)
• IT Skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Learning Management Systems)

Responsibilities

• Deliver operational training to CCM and externally accredited standards
• Ensure each production Operator is competent through assessment
• Assist with technical knowledge transfer of new processes through structured training
• Coach newcomers with onboarding and audit sign-off, as needed
• Update and maintain training records in the LMS and ensure audit readiness
• Deliver refresher training on critical processes and compliance topics
• Contribute to toolbox talks and training sessions
• Support with mask fit testing as required
• Report safety concerns to management immediately
