Job summary

Octagon Group in South Molton seeks an experienced Manufacturing Team Manager to lead a high performing production area delivering precision aerospace components. You will drive Lean principles, coach your team and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires prior leadership of manufacturing teams in regulated environments such as aerospace or defence, with a track record in continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing manufacturing or production teams.
• Experience within aerospace, automotive, precision engineering, defence or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high performing manufacturing team.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and customer delivery requirements are achieved.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across your value stream.
• Champion a positive culture focused on safety, quality and employee engagement.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including On Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, productivity and safety.
• Improve operational performance through waste reduction and process optimisation.
• Support strategic business objectives while delivering operational excellence.
