Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced Production Operative for a night shift in a aerospace manufacturing setting. You will manufacture, assemble and machine aerospace components, following drawings and route cards to ensure high-quality results.

Responsibilities include welding with resistance and TIG processes, operating lathes, mills and drills, and maintaining strict quality standards. A collaborative, safety-focused attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience operating lathes, milling and drilling machines.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and routing instructions.
• Good communication and written skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Flexible and reliable approach to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and weld aerospace components using resistance seam and automated TIG welding equipment.
• Work with materials including stainless steel, titanium and Inconel.
• Form and trim bellows using automated, semi-automated and manual machinery.
• Collaborate with the laboratory to ensure weld testing meets requirements.
• Read engineering drawings and routing cards.
• Operate lathes, milling and drilling machines.
• Maintain operator verification approvals and follow procedures.
• Work to agreed quality and production standards.
• Support continuous improvement and improved working methods where possible.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness on the shop floor.
• Follow Health & Safety and AWPS procedures.
• Work as part of a wider team with a flexible approach.
