Job summary

Akkodis in Gloucester is recruiting several Manufacturing Expediters to support a major aerospace manufacturing programme. These hands‑on operational roles drive critical orders through the factory, remove bottlenecks and ensure customer delivery commitments are met.

You will work with Production, Planning, Quality, Logistics and Supply Chain teams to own high‑priority orders, monitor progress, escalate delays and support recovery plans to improve production flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in Production Planning and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of production control processes.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple departments in a factory.
• Understanding of material control and handling.
• Experience coordinating supply chain activities and suppliers.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Track critical manufacturing orders from release through to completion.
• Drive actions to reduce waiting time and remove production constraints.
• Coordinate priority activities across multiple departments and suppliers.
• Escalate delivery risks and help implement corrective actions.
• Monitor recovery plans and ensure progress against target dates.
• Provide daily updates on order status, risks and recovery activities.
• Work closely with shopfloor teams to maintain production momentum.
