Job summary

ALTEN is recruiting Manufacturing Engineers to support the SAR Flowline programme within a leading aerospace manufacturing environment in the UK. You will work with Operations, Design, Quality and Supply Chain to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve flowline performance, delivering components to aerospace standards.

Key activities include manufacturing process development, RCA, NCR management, and supporting NPI and industrialisation while driving safety, quality, delivery and cost

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting aerospace components, assemblies or production systems.
• Understanding of aerospace quality requirements and manufacturing standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process development and improvement.
• Ability to perform RCA and lead corrective actions.
• Production support and problem solving.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with non-conformance management.
• Experience with process control and continuous improvement.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support to the SAR Flowline production area.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing and production issues.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, routes, and work instructions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Support concession, non-conformance and root cause investigations.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with aerospace standards and customer requirements.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrialisation activities.
• Liaise with Design, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve production performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, throughput and process capability.
